I’m someone who struggles badly with anxiety, to the point that it affects how I function, my mother has always recommended daily journaling and I’ve just never gotten around to it. This app has been so so helpful in daily documentation of my emotions, anxieties, eating habits, etc; and there’s no crazy paywall, just ads every so often. I highly recommend!!

I don’t use dailybean anymore and I ended up going back to a paper journal.
I really enjoyed DailyBean, but I wish that there was a section to write journals. Even though there is a little portion where you are able to write about your day, I wish that there was a whole section designated for journaling.
Great app but if you want to open it you will have to wait about 5 full minutes. It often gets stuck in this loading phase. I’m trying to jot notes down quickly. It’s hard enough to take time away from my day to Journal. Let alone to wait for an app to open this long and lose the thought. Figure this out, Dailybean.
This app is cute and I was looking forward to using it. But after my first log, I feel a little uneasy. I saw an AI propaganda ad funded by the Israeli Government Advertising Agency. It was through Google, that’s how I was able to check. I’m sure you can understand the multitude of reasons why this is concerning. One, it’s BLATANT propaganda related to an ongoing genocide. Second, what is it doing on a journaling app? I understand that the devs might not have power over the specific ads that get played, but this needs to be addressed somehow. AI propaganda that tries to rationalize the annihilation of innocent people should have no place anywhere, let alone on a cutesy mood tracking app.
I absolutely would recommend this app to anyone. On busy days it takes five minutes to look over my day and assess if i’ve taken care of myself well, and it’ll even give you evaluations— and they tell you factors of what makes you feel best and what makes you feel worst. You can even add your own custom items that you can check off to personalize it to yourself. The daily fortune cookie is the highlight of my day too. The paid version isn’t something that rubbed in your face like other apps either, it’s just a suggestion.
