★★★★★ No option on the web dashboard, none in the app, and support offers no workaround — no invoice, no payment link, no migration path.
★★★★★ No search function, no way to import things from mail, no address autofill, no way for addresses to open in Maps.
★★★★★ I want to switch to Proton Calendar, but the iOS app is too basic, no dark mode, tiny fonts and there's no Linux desktop app or system integration.

★★★★★ “Event synchronization error.
★★★★★ I get a synchronization error for so many things which rejects the creation of an event or any changes you make to an event) when I: - Try to move an event from my Personal calendar to my Work calendar (both in Proton…
★★★★★ I love privacy companies and Proton, but you guys have just lost the plot lately.

★★★★★ No option on the web dashboard, none in the app, and support offers no workaround — no invoice, no payment link, no migration path.
★★★★★ Disappointed that this “privacy focused” company doesn't let users choose to opt out of using this infosec nightmare.
★★★★★ Proton Calendar as a service is great for its encryption, but lacks support for basic quality-of-life features.
18 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.
★★★★★ They understand that without the chance to know about an event in time (even after the fact), the calendar will be useless to you.
★★★★★ Without full edit control, i cant rely on it. Eg. Meeting invite has 15 min alerts set but i need more warning. I cant edit it so i have to create my own reminder… remind me why i need this app then. Put it back in,…
★★★★★ The lack of these features make this app useless and it is far behind

★★★★★ “Event synchronization error.
★★★★★ The app could be really good but it needs bugs worked out and more features.
★★★★★ Instead of spending their time trying to roast businesses on LinkedIn they should fix their broken mess of an app.
15 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.
★★★★★ Where I live, that kind of connectivity is both too expensive and too unreliable.
★★★★★ This app is not marked as containing in-app purchases because you cannot purchase the subscription IN the app, you have to go to the web application to do so.
★★★★★ Otherwise love the privacy that Proton offers, but I'd prefer that Proton focus on investing their time and money into building out the features within their existing apps, as opposed to making, say, an AI bot no one…

★★★★★ I signed up for Proton unlimited and I even agree with the free account people that's just pretty lame.
★★★★★ This probably needs verification based on what I'm seeing) show up in the web browser.
★★★★★ Embarrassingly, only other app that still hasn't motorized for iPad screen is a log in app for medical personnel; calendar shouldn't be lumped in with lazy devs like this.
15 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.
★★★★★ In that time, I don't think any of their apps have had an update.
★★★★★ —— After writing this, I got a request to update more positively my review because they are considering making the app more user-friendly for people who cannot be connected 24/7 to the internet like Europeans can.
★★★★★ Update 7/3/25: So disappointed to continue to report that this incredible company has created such a deficient app that is essentially unusable for regular and recurring/such basic actions like modifying events,…
17 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.
★★★★★ Just a simple request really, the yearly repeat option for events should have the same ability as the weekly, and monthly to repeat on days, not just dates.
★★★★★ Easy to use, great reminders.
★★★★★ Clean, easy to use, shares across devices calendar app.
17 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.
★★★★★ UI is pretty good, a fine comprimise for zero knowledge personal and shared calendars.
★★★★★ Clean, easy to use, shares across devices calendar app.
★★★★★ The proton calendar app is functional, with no bugs or glaring design issues that I've noticed so far.
14 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.
★★★★★ Really enjoy protons calendar have used it pretty much since debut and have no complaints.
★★★★★ Recently got a membership and switched off of using Google suite because I enjoy Proton's dedication to security and privacy with minimal (ideally zero) AI/LLM integration.
★★★★★ I enjoy using it everyday!

★★★★★ Add watch support and I'll change rating to 5 stars
★★★★★ I would love to see Apple Watch support.
★★★★★ Now you just need to support rotating the app 180 degrees.
9 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.
★★★★★ Works great on phone and iPad but missing watch app.
★★★★★ Proton calendar works great and is the best for privacy!
★★★★★ The calendar widget on the Home Screen works well, however when adding it to the Today view panel it sometimes does not work correctly.

Know this before you commit: if you pay through Apple, you can't buy standalone add-ons like Lumo Plus. No option on the web dashboard, none in the app, and support offers no workaround — no invoice, no payment link, no migration path. 6 hours for a template reply. Then 12+ hours of silence. Ticket #[EMD0XX-353V4]. Still waiting… Good products. Billing and support are abysmal.
Really enjoy protons calendar have used it pretty much since debut and have no complaints. I Feel private and secure knowing I have full control of my events and schedule in my own private calendar a company that actually cares about its customers’ rights and freedoms which is extremely rare in today’s day and age. Salute to Proton.
I think it’s a good app. The only thing is when there is no signal or offline I would like to be able to edit my calendar. So can you please fix that so that it can handle offline usage? And then update when signal connects.
It is not realistic or helpful to have modern calendar log out with regularity. I need mobile notifications to come through on my calendar, or there must be some type of notification warning me that this is coming if it's a necessary security setting. Calendar notifications must pop up on the phone, and having them not pop up because of a lack of login is unacceptable. I have moved a significant amount of activity off of Gmail and Google, but this is something holding the calendar app back.
Lot of times, default notification times are not good. If I wanna save a custom notification time for all reminders, there is no such option
Reliable, useful, in other words perfect for what it is. Yet the widgets could use a bit more of customisation. Perhaps a timeline style view, different styles or some options to tweak them to our needs.
