Stops working after some updates

The recent updates for the Apple version of this app stop it from working. Three times in the last 4 months this has happened, and the only resolve is to delete the app and download it again. That’s easy enough for me to do, but frustrating for the Grandparents who have to do this on their iPads every couple weeks.
