★★★★★ Ever since they had an update about a year ago it has been unusable.
★★★★★ The system is updated to where you need to purchase a weapon that's compatible with the system.
★★★★★ Ever since doing this update the app will not turn targets when turning phone horizontally.
8 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.
★★★★★ When the app works, still has bugs and overheats the phone.
★★★★★ Worked on my old 13 Pro but doesn't work on my new 18 Pro.
★★★★★ It struggles to recognize the targets, sometimes it recognizes, but while I'm shooting from 30cm in the bulls eye, it says is out

★★★★★ Can't access certain drills, app crashes, app gets stuck calibrating.
★★★★★ Issue I have with it is it keep crashing lately with my new ISO update.
★★★★★ I am also a first time user, having bought the kit several days ago, many issues with the app crashing after acquiring targets on camera, instructions guide does not open unless I delete the app and reinstall it.

★★★★★ Upgraded to the iPhone 17. This is not compatible. Tried different rooms different backgrounds it will not pick up the target at all. The system is updated to where you need to purchase a weapon that's compatible with…
★★★★★ I really hope they aren't charging a premium for the mediocre app.
★★★★★ I strongly recommend you test the app before you spend any money on this company's app or their “systems.”
5 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.
★★★★★ So the laser bullets are pretty much useless.
★★★★★ If I move just a bit when shooting it'll read two scores, the second one because I moved. The developer also ruined the voice score announcement. Now it's so quiet and right over the shot sound so it's barely audible…
★★★★★ It does NOT work with revolvers since the majority of laser bullets have laser beam on while the pin is not released and Laser Academy app records false shots making pretty much all drills useless.
2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.
★★★★★ i've deleted and reinstalled the app about four or five times and still get the same problem.
★★★★★ I deleted the app, reinstalled and tried again.

★★★★★ Cannot turn phone on it's side to mirror on tv which I was able to do and support couldn't understand how I was able to do it.
★★★★★ Will update this review if support manages to fix it.

★★★★★ Unfortunately there is no way to properly zero the laser as the software places a huge black box with yellow text hint when you try the shoot to calibrate.
★★★★★ Is there a bug in the recent update or something, or am I missing something on my end.

★★★★★ Do yourself a favor and get the Mantis Laser Academy today, it's well worth every penny you spend.
★★★★★ Well worth every penny even with the lighting frustrations.
★★★★★ Maybe a free version and a paid version?
7 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.
★★★★★ This thing is great to train with, and helps you identify weaknesses in your methods by tracking your speed and accuracy.
★★★★★ Helps a lot with paying attention to your trigger pull and watching how you might be dragging your shots.
★★★★★ It's a huge savings to start but also helps with trigger control as well.

Latest reviews, Japan App Store.
Ever since they had an update about a year ago it has been unusable. Cannot turn phone on it’s side to mirror on tv which I was able to do and support couldn’t understand how I was able to do it. Cannot detect all targets even with filter on.
I have such better accuracy after just a couple days of use.
When the app works, still has bugs and overheats the phone. App down for over a month with no fixes pushed out? That experience plus the bugs = 1 star behavior.
Taking what instructors have taught while applying the feedback from Mantis, the accuracy of my shots, speed between shots, and overall confidence has improved.
Basically title. Worked on my old 13 Pro but doesn't work on my new 18 Pro. Not sure if it's the hardware or iOS 27 but the app isn't compatible with at least one of them. When you start a drill the area of the screen that would normally show the camera is black and says "calibrating". It never calibrates. Hope it gets fixed soon
