BTR AMP Advanced Music Player

This is absolutely perfect. Evermusic, Flacbox, and VLC literally don’t work for my massive music library but this does smoothly. I have 15,000 songs on the microsd I plug into my iphone. Took about 20 mins to get all the metadata imported after mounting the folder. Now it’s perfect! So easy to just plug in, open the app, and immediately start listening. And updates are easy and quick to with the Quick Rescan feature. My only asks 1. Support for iTunes-like sorting in song views — where it goes in order of Album Artist, then alphabetical order for each of their Albums, then Track Number order for the songs in the Album. 2. The “…” buttons on the right side scroll zone are too close to the letters for jumping to a letter. I accidentally hit the “…” way too often. 3. Looser fuzzy grouping of albums. I have no idea why but a few of my albums get split into multiple albums but I can’t see an obvious difference in their names.

Because this app uses the same library as Apple Music/Books/iTunes but has more features, it’s just better. Plain & Simple. The fact that you can pre-amp and normalize music volumes is worth it all by itself. Louder, distortion free music. Love this app!!! Great support when needed and they respond to requests rather promptly. The app is consistently updated and the team actually cares! Keep up the great work Beyond The Rapids!

[TLDR: If you’re serious about your music library and playback, stop looking, this is the one.] I have tried many different music player app solutions as an alternative to the native Music app for better quality playback. This is the only one I’ve tried that works well for listening to music directly through USB in the car. All of the other apps have issues with starting and stopping, showing the wrong number of songs in an album or playlist, or the music app interrupts playback during use and you have to go back to the app you wanted to use and try again; not this one. The ReplayGain implementation is robust and even follows peak tags, an important feature that is often left out. USB playback works perfectly with dongles or dac/amps and sounds great. The integration with the local library is excellent and simple. I especially like the interface of the app with easy navigation and shortcuts to access artist and albums. There is a great deal of customization options too. There’s not a feature I can think of that I feel was missed. The only thing that I could think to ask for is a macOS or a full-size version, that would be awesome. If you have a local library, and/or want to use it with CarPlay or iPod interface, this is it.

keep up the good work 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
