I have an apple device just for this app

As the title says! I’ve made the switch to android, but you best believe I’ve bought a cheap iPad mini just to have this app. I’ve tested all the cross stitch apps on google and Samsung, and can confirm this app is the only one I will EVER use. 100/10

Aimed at pattern makers

EDIT: Appreciate the dev response. I was pleasantly surprised that Apple did allow my refund. I selected “other”. It’s not the fault of the dev that I misunderstood the capabilities (or limitations) of the app but I do hope they’ll implement better annotation abilities in future so I can write or just draw dots on patterns and use more colours to do so. I imagine this app is great if I were to want to make patterns and I’ve increased my rating a star purely due to the nice response from the dev. So, today I caved and bought the full version of the app for the very costly amount of £40. I just wanted to mark off stitches in patterns as there is no sign of an iOS version of Pattern Keeper. You can only do it with images but generally patterns are PDFs so it’s useless to me. You can not freely annotate on PDF’s. You can draw straight lines only with a limited colour palette so not great for marking off single stitches but it’s useable. However, you can do this without paying for the app too. So I paid £40 to be able to label my pdfs. Something I didn’t particularly care about. I don’t really intend to create my own patterns or anything. If I did, this would be a great resource I’m sure but yeah… I don’t. So I paid £39.99 to label a pdf. Incredibly disappointing. It’s probably my own fault for not looking in to more reviews and such and misunderstanding when they said you could mark off stitches not realising it only applied to images. It’s not a bad app, it’s just not what I wanted or needed and it doesn’t look like I can get it refunded - so I can only hope they add more functionality and improvements in future.

Super

I’m a beginner at cross stitch. I use Stitchly to copy patterns that I’m going to stitch, primarily to display the pattern on my phone while stitching but there are many other benefits, and to create my own designs. I think it’s great and can’t fault it.

Worth buying

I normally never pay for an app but I could never find a cross stitch pattern app that did the things I wanted it to do in the trial. So even though you only get like 1 or 2 free patterns the functions of this app are just wonderful. I use it all the time
