A 10-Year Masterclass in Wasted Potential Don’t let the stunning visuals fool you. While this app looks like a "genuine" AAA space epic, it is a hollow shell of what a game should be. After ten years, the development team has managed to keep the controls a complete and utter mess—it’s clunky, unintuitive, and feels like it hasn’t been updated since the literal decade it launched. Frankly, the entire development team should be fired for allowing such a fundamental part of the experience to remain broken for so long. The "Free-to-Play" Trap The game markets itself as accessible, but if you aren’t paying, you aren’t a player—you’re cannon fodder. New or free players are served up on a silver platter for the paying "whales" to destroy. There is no progression for the average person, only a cycle of being farmed by people who have spent thousands of dollars to ensure you never stand a chance. An Empty Universe The result of this toxic environment? Nobody plays anymore. The "massive" universe is an empty void. When you do run into someone, it isn’t a unique player; it’s one of the few hundred remaining paying users running 20 different accounts at once. It’s a sad, stagnant ecosystem where the same few people are just devouring themselves in a loop. Bottom line: It’s a beautiful-looking trick. Save your time and your storage space.

A lot of the good stuff is locked behind the need to pay a monthly subscription. 18€ / mo for a mobile game is ridiculous. Otherwise it has the same issues as the original eve just a bit worse due to the more tedious controls on mobile.
