★★★★★ I'll also be requesting a refund for my most recent charge because this app literally no longer works.
★★★★★ I've been a paying subscriber since 2024, currently paying $24.99 every three months for a subscription literally called “Anyplay Plus – full access.”

★★★★★ Listening speed needs to go up to 2x and higher 1.75 is too slow for some people.
★★★★★ I have listened to multiple audiobooks through Anyplay and two things annoy me about this app, the slow speeds and missing chapters.
★★★★★ I typically listen at 3x the speed, so even at the fastest speed available I feel as though I'm listening in slow motion.

★★★★★ I have listened to multiple audiobooks through Anyplay and two things annoy me about this app, the slow speeds and missing chapters.
★★★★★ It's easier to just search by author which is tedious and means I'm probably missing a bunch of audiobooks I'd enjoy because I haven't thought to look for them.
★★★★★ Ever since Audible got rid of Audible Escape I've been looking for the alternative, and this could be a huge success, but your losing customers with the lack of basic functions that readers use.

★★★★★ The selection is good and the controls are easy to use, but there's no bookmark option for audiobooks???
★★★★★ The user interface is pretty friendly and easy to navigate.

★★★★★ Tons of books and great value
★★★★★ Good romance selections. Cons are limited search options and the speed increments are too big. 1 to 1.25 is too drastic.

I have used and loved this app for years. Within the last month it suddenly stopped working. I cannot play anything that's saved in my library. I've reached out to their customer service email THREE times and have not gotten a response. I'll also be requesting a refund for my most recent charge because this app literally no longer works.
Used this app for several years. It has always had problems - for example searching for titles was hit or miss. But it was still an overall great way to get audiobooks. Now the app is basically useless. You cannot search for anything - if put in anything and it says no results. The ongoing and finished book library that I had from years of use is now gone/blank. Nothing new shows up either. The only titles on the “recommended” or “popular” page is AI slop versions of public domain titles. You will never hear back from customer service.
A few months ago, I would have recommended Anyplay to absolutely anyone. It WAS amazing. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case, and I am beyond disappointed. I’ve been a paying subscriber since 2024, currently paying $24.99 every three months for a subscription literally called “Anyplay Plus – full access.” In September, I suddenly encountered a MONTHLY LISTENING LIMIT that I’d never been informed existed. When I contacted support, they explained that listening allowances depend on publisher licensing costs and can vary depending on which books you listen to. No specific allowance was provided, and I had received no advance notice of this change. Fast forward to October, and it’s gotten WORSE. I can no longer search for books, and practically everything available appears to be old public-domain titles like Tom Sawyer and Sherlock Holmes. Meanwhile, my saved playlists are still FULL of popular, contemporary audiobooks. But clicking on them produces a message saying the book has been withdrawn by the publisher in my territory. And here’s the kicker: The App Store now advertises the three-month “full access” subscription for $89.99, compared to the $24.99 I’ve been paying. That’s approximately a 260% increase! Has Anyplay completely changed its subscription tiers? Are existing subscribers being restricted to a stripped-down catalog? Is this a licensing disaster? I HAVE NO IDEA, because I’ve received no emails explaining any of it. I understand that companies face rising costs. What I DON’T understand is drastically changing the customer experience while leaving paying subscribers in the dark. A subscription advertised as FULL ACCESS should not leave customers guessing what they’re actually paying for. I genuinely LOVED this app. Now I can’t recommend it to anyone. Proceed with extreme caution before subscribing or do yourself a favor and DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY AT ALL.
