HOW SURE ARE WE
Not in any grossing chart, so this comes from ratings growth (26 new ratings a month on average since launch): revenue grows with new ratings, more slowly for apps that collect ratings fast. Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2 times, and big earners tend to come out low. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

Worse after an update8%

12 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Would be happy to revise my review if/when a new version comes out.
★★★★★ The recent update makes the typing experience horrible - the cursor works properly only on inputs written in alphabets.
★★★★★ Python 3 worked fine until recent update.
Missing features6%

8 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I'm new to Python programming and find the lack of documentation appalling.
★★★★★ The app seems good enough. My only thing is that it has not given me the option to cancel the free trial in the app nor on my iPhone settings, so just beware of that.
★★★★★ Probably tons more missing than what I checked.
No customer support5%

7 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Don't purchase Pyto because it will ask you to purchase again and there is ZERO support.
★★★★★ The developer says use email to contact her, but the email is blocked.
★★★★★ I can't find anything online that allows support for adding a package and not having basics like wget is pretty annoying.
Lost data, sync, backup3%

5 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I have purchased but right now I only can see the purchase screen, why? Nothing works anymore.
★★★★★ When it works though it's great, I wouldn't even mind the occasional crashing if I didn't lose my data.
★★★★★ Right out of the gate, it crashed as I opened a file thru Working Copy (git), and immediately it lost knowledge about the 3~days trial and I had to accept the trial once again.

7 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ Beautiful interface, works offline, just get it.
★★★★★ Developers - Please reconsider your UI and give an option to not have a pop up terminal.

7 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ The app works great but when running a code, i press the stop button and it doesn't end.
★★★★★ First of all, regarding the title, this app works well, but it has an odd habit of asking me to purchase it— again, even though I've already purchased it.
★★★★★ Works great with shortcuts and widgets
Worth the money8%

Great support8%

6 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ I love the app, the IDE is better than most desktop applications — and over the course of only a few months they have added some fantastic modules - the developer is excellent and the support for this app is unmatched.
★★★★★ I used to use Pythonista, but it seems support for that has been abandoned.

Free trial should be a month imo

3 days is very short

★★★★★Aug 27, 2026
Want me to pay twice.

I looked at the apps I purchased with my Apple ID and I bought this app on 01/17/2020. I don’t see how they think they have the right to brick an app that I have already paid for. This is the second time they have tried this since I’ve owned this app. They try to get you to pay again for an app you’ve already paid for. They stop the app from working by making it go directly to a purchase page that you can’t get past. Very low move. They will never sell me any more software.
