Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2.6 times, so the range is wide. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Price and subscription32%

27 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Immediately asks for subscription after grabbing just 3 frames from 1 video and will not let me grab more frames until I sign up!
★★★★★ It locks you out after one use with a paywall.
★★★★★ Don't buy this BS app, after like, 2 frames it costs 200 dollars. Insane.
Limits, credits, locked features7%

6 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ You only get a few frame grabs before everything is locked behind a subscription permanently.
★★★★★ I was able to export a grand total of 3 frames before being forced into a free trial? I'd rather *purchase the application one time* than do a subscription for such a niche, rare to be used after my project app. This…
★★★★★ That said, not only does the App Store description not tell you what features are free, what are premium, and what the cost is, but it doesn't tell you in the app, either, until you hit the limit.
Worse after an update6%

5 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

Bugs, things not working5%

4 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ The time stamping is completely unreliable and very buggy.
★★★★★ Can't do the one function it claims to do unless you buy a subscription. Not worth it. Shame to see that happen to what was once a good simple app.
★★★★★ The “contact us” feature in app does not work.
Crashes and freezes2%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ The app seems to be stuck on the launch screen, clicking get started does nothing and I can't get to the app content
★★★★★ And within that limited amount the app crashed twice (and it looked like my iPhone was going dead but nope, just this app).
Too many ads2%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I'd be willing to watch ads for a free frame grab (similar to 🍑y) but that's not even an option.
★★★★★ It was free and somehow without ads.
Wrong or poor results2%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ You now have to purchase premium to take a screenshot.
★★★★★ Useless since introduction of the subscription
No customer support2%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ The “contact us” feature in app does not work.
★★★★★ Vom Support gab es bislang gar keine Antwort.
