Hi all, to respond to the developers response: 1) why are you putting alphabet lessons at the end. That makes no sense. How are we supposed to even have a shot at recognizing the Thai without introducing us to the script. Duo lingo has a lot of problems but you could learn a thing or two by having a separate area for script study. Without the script learners will not be able to even hack though the first lesson. I had to code my own app just to teach me the Thai script just to get through unit 1. 2) you are not approaching this bite sized enough. The very very very first lesson has entire Thai phrases. Again, please learn from duo. Bite sized. Small. One word at a time. Reinforce one word at a time. Why are you starting with phrases. If your intention is to “teach by teaching commonly used phrases” again, you need to separate that out from the main lesson plan. No one is going to be able to parse out entire phrases when they learned สวัสดี 10 seconds ago. This doesn’t make any pedagogical sense. Are there any teachers on your team? A teacher would know you can just drop a student off on the deep end and expect them to stay afloat. Ling has inspired me to create my own marketable app based off what I’ve coded so far for myself. I am not against partnering with to yall if you’d like, but we’d need to start a lot from the ground up. I live in Bangkok and would be happy to meet. Old review: You’re gonna have a bad time if you’re expecting Duolingo or babbel. I had to write a program that works with Ling just for it to be of any use.
