Anker soundcore

This app is nearing a GB with regular updates… to adjust EQ? I have been a regular Anker customer for years but it might be time to move onto a new brand if this is the direction this company is going with AI infested slop.

😂I wonder if that app will shrink in size any as Anker silently trys to rebrand ***EDIT 2026: Soundcore has doubled down on making this app as awful as possible by adding unnecessary AI "features". WE JUST WANT TO CONTROL OUR AUDIO DEVICES‼️ ***EDIT OCT 2025: Not sure why Anker insists on updating this AUDIO app will features that have nothing to do to with the AUDIO products users download the app for in the first place. ***EDIT 8/2025: HEY ANKER, I'm going to let you guys in on a little secret—ready? Here it is: aggressiveely shoving incredibly obnoxious pop-up ads in front of users in your UTILITY app isn't going to help you sell anything. This app has gone from decently functional to a bloated & nearly 500MB pile of garbage. People want to control their audio devices not watch ads or buy some gimmick AI audio.

To get the application to even connect to your device, takes a lot of work and effort, including resetting the device, removing the app reinstalling the app and God help you if you accidentally disconnected

The app works well for adjusting some basic settings on my earbuds, but the size is ridiculously large. Who needs a 700MB app for such simple controls?

I use soundcore a30 sleep buds for sleeping. The homepage of the app is a pastel mess that is difficult to see without waking up, turning on the light, and putting on my glasses. I would like to be able to look at the app and check the battery levels while I am still half asleep. The battery levels are tiny little white numerals on a pale blue background.

Consuming 950mb for an app to just set earbuds configuration is insane.
