WHAT THEY COMPLAIN ABOUT · SHARE OF BAD REVIEWS
Price and subscription47%

8 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I found the purchasing subscription model confusing.
★★★★★ When I do free trials, I always cancel right after I get it, so I don't get charged if I forget to cancel.
★★★★★ Your interface asks me to "click to buy subscription" before I know how much it will cost.
Bugs, things not working18%

3 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ It does not give an explanation on what you are supposed to do. It does not pick up sound easily and takes me several tries to get it to work.
★★★★★ Needed to get back to tutorial; not possible. No explanation why until I come here and see negative reviews. Bad design. Don't worry about a main portion of the app being intrusive; make a button to get there. Can't…
★★★★★ All I kept getting was adds to purchase a not free version. I never was able to use at all to see if it worked or not. Waste of time.
Lost data, sync, backup12%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I'm a beginner and I'm lost.
★★★★★ The next time we entered the app, that tutorial had disappeared.
Wrong or poor results12%

2 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ It's not prompting me whether it's right or wrong.
★★★★★ The sight reading cards are great, but without a teacher they are useless as well.
WHAT THEY ASK FOR
  • Finally a decent sight reading app every student should have access too. 5★, Dec 18, 2022
  • I also hope that the 'interval selector' will continue to grow to include intervals of at least 4ths thru 8ves and beyond (9ths-13ths anyone?) I think it would be cool as a teacher to be able to “design” my own drills… 4★, Sep 8, 2018
  • It would be great if the app would also keep track of incorrect notes too. 4★, May 23, 2018

Fun, addictive20%

5 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ I'm having so much fun and of course I'm not going anywhere for a couple weeks so I'm going to try to keep playing and practicing
★★★★★ Aside from being aesthetically pleasing and fun for the eye, it seems like it has everything I'm looking for…which is so so rare.
★★★★★ A simple, fun app to help in re-learning notes, sight reading & playing the piano.

★★★★★ I love being able to design my own levels on the note class section!
★★★★★ I love the clean and spacious graphic design, though you do get a choice of a several themed backgrounds which are nicely unobtrusive.
★★★★★ It has so many more features than the original and it's new clean look is so much easier on the eyes.
Useful, it helps8%

Interval training crashes

I wanted to use this app to recognize intervals on the staff. There are ear training apps but this the only one I found that lets you read the interval on the staff and then play it on your piano. Well, it crashes or freezes all the time so it turns out to be worthless for this.

Simple and Effective

My teacher had me get this app and it’s really helped me learn my notes. Highly recommend.

Best app for the cost

I’m a piano teacher. This app is similar to some other apps but it’s got some things that are better IMO. Game Drills Note Selector is my go to. It’s easy to create and save drills that I use with my students often. I also like that landmark notes are built in already for the newbies.
