Shot Scope

I have the tags and V5 combo. That combo works 50% of the time. Very glitchy on the upload. Half the time it stalls on the sync and you lose your round completely. Heard the new apple watch standalone app came out. Activated my free 3 round trial. Couldn’t get it to load at all. Keeps stalling and restarting. This has been the problem with Shot Scope for years. Great concept. Extremely poor execution in the software. Most of the time it just doesn’t work as intended so it becomes useless. Better off using 18birdies or Arccos.

My first attempt at using this on the course. On the 2nd hole it locked up and I couldn't record putts. The app is a plague with my ultra 4. Have to restart watch in order to quit the shot scope app. Ridiculously bad.

Revised to 1 star for the Apple Watch. After 6 weeks of issues and multiple help tickets and constant lockups at the course, Apple refunded my purchase. After purchasing the app and trying to use it for multiple rounds, I still have yet to get an accurate accounting of my shots either automatically or manually. Can’t use an app that has yet to match the score I actually shot. The app appears to be great if you are used to the ShotScope ecosystem but others will likely struggle and nearly mandatory editing after the round is simply unacceptable for a tracker. Tried this out for a single round after hearing of the Apple Watch app release. Initial setup had the app trying to play a round all day long until I actually played the round. Drained the heck out of the battery. There is little at this stage in help or documentation on the app so I did the best I could. I tried shot recognition and that wasn’t working will. I switched to manual and it was better, as well as reduced battery drain. I have two main issues. First, editing on the watch was really hard to find. Deleting shots or changing clubs was unclear until I got home to edit in the online portal. Second, I’m used to a watch and phone app where I can record my playing partners scores only as well as using it for scramble outings. This doesn’t exist in the app. The good, stats are wonderful. It is visually stunning on the watch. Accuracy seems on target. The watch app runs independent of needing to have the so running on the phone. The app seems to do great as a single player recording on a shot by shot basis but for this user, I want to be able to keep track of scores at a minimum for everyone in my playing group. I will be using another app to do recording of scores of my group/playing partners and use my Apple Watch to record my stats.

Haven’t had it score an accurate round yet. Misses swings and distances often. Use it mostly for distance to the green while playing. Got it free otherwise i would not buy.
