Great but glitchy

I love being an Uber Driver-let’s start there. [It is MUCH more lucrative to drive passengers than to deliver, for the record] This review is mostly for the support team and a bit of a cautionary tale for other drivers. There seems to be a glitch with the reservation scheduling. Sometimes when I’m driving, completing a trip, I get offered my next trip like normal. Except once I accept it, I start getting notifications that I’m about to be late for my reservation and I’m at risk of it being canceled. When I accepted it, it was never specified that it was a reservation with a specific pick up time. Once I drop off the first passenger I see that the pick up time for the next trip is so soon that it’s impossible for me to arrive on time. [example I drop off passenger 1 at 10:00 and passenger 2 has a reservation for 10:05, but I’m still 15 minutes away and had no way of knowing this until after I’ve dropped off passenger 1]. I’m forced to be late and it’s happening more frequently. I also miss the “take a break” feature. It’s very inconvenient to have to completely log off just to make a quick stop for gas or a restroom break.

Awful app and company experience

App constantly reset and removed my vehicle from my profile, and no one was able to help put vehicle information through. Horrible experience

The stupid app ever

I wish Uber would fire the product manager who designed some of these stupid app features. I arrive at the store, only to find that someone has already picked up the order. I have to cancel it, and my cancellation rate goes up. During rush hour, when I’m on my way to pick up an order, the trip gets canceled automatically. And when I finally pick up an order, the app asks me to take a photo and enter a verification code. Why do I need to do both? Why not just use one verification method? There are so many unnecessary steps and poorly designed features. The app creates more problems for drivers instead of making their jobs easier. Whoever designed these features clearly didn’t think enough about the actual driver experience.

Gets worse with every update

Ever since you guys updated this thing like a couple weeks ago, it's been beeping unnecessarily A LOT There are way too many beeps, when you start the trip it makes a beep, when you get to the restaurant it makes a beep, when you get to the customers house it makes a beep, if you switch to another app it makes a beep, shut up! You should only be receiving beeps for important things like when you get a message from the customer. For every 100 beeps that causes one gray hair, keep it up, eventually you're gonna lose all your drivers. PLEASE GET RID OF THAT BUBBLE THAT TAKES UP THE TOP PART OF THE SCREEN EVERY TIME YOU SWITCH FROM THE UBER APP TO GOOGLE MAPS!!

UBER DRIVER

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! I genuinely don’t understand how Uber Eats gets away with paying its drivers so little. I decided to try delivering as a side job to make some extra money, and it has been an absolute joke! You are basically working for TIPS because Uber barely pays you anything! I spent over an HOUR driving, only for Uber to pay me $4 (NOT including tips)! That doesn’t even begin to cover the gas, mileage, wear and tear on my vehicle, or my TIME! What’s even more ridiculous is that Uber will show you an estimated payout of something like $12 for a delivery that takes an hour, but after completing the trip, the actual base pay from Uber is only around $2! The rest depends on tips! How is that acceptable? Drivers are using their OWN vehicles, paying for their OWN gas, and putting miles on their cars just to make practically NOTHING. Without customers tipping, drivers would barely make any money at all. Customers should not be responsible for making up for Uber’s ridiculously low pay! I honestly don’t know how this company continues to get away with this. It’s insulting to the people doing the actual work. I WILL NOT be supporting Uber Eats anymore, either as a DRIVER or as a CUSTOMER! Save your gas, save your mileage, and most importantly, SAVE YOUR TIME! This is absolutely NOT worth it.
