Nice premise

Scenic, 2nd time out

This is my second time out with the bike and the camper. The wife and I went to Morehead KY. Used Scenic to create routes and it worked great. I am getting more comfortable creating routes. Sat down the evening before and in 15 minutes had our day ride all planned out. Highly recommend this ap.

Best road rally navigation for cars too

Our Porsche club has tried several other rally navigation apps, including the official Porsche nav app, but we always come back to Scenic for ease of route creation and fewest bugs and glitches that can ruin a days’ outing.

Mind of its own

While making a map to ride is ok my issue is that when I went on the ride it did not follow the route which I created. Also along the route unwanted directions and loops appeared along the route. While I could skip them it sometimes was difficult to determine what was part of the actual route and what was just made up. I was also surprised to see that settings from the Mac version did not present themselves on the iPhone when riding. Why are their separate settings for each?

Guess I'm too dumb

Could not, no matter what I did, or where I serached for an answer on the web, figure out how to get it to stop placing my starting point in Redwood, City. I'm trying to flee the obtusely impossible UI of Google Maps, not sink deeper into the swamp. Thanks but no thanks.
