Ridiculous

Can’t set pace or word count

I could have sworn that when I took the onboarding quiz it asked about word count and that I indicated I wanted 10 words a week. Im getting peppered ALL DAMN DAY. It’s distracting and counterproductive. Now I don’t open the app anymore for fear of not keeping up. Frankly, I’d like even fewer words than 10 with the option to skip words I know. Also, the info buttons on the words don’t work well and most of the time skip you to the next word. I feel like this app isn’t ready for prime time. I want my money back.

App became very inappropriate

At first I loved this app but over the last two days, the vocab words have been VERY explicit surrounding sexual content. Cunn*lingus, tantric s*x, etc. So inappropriate.

Educational, but Excessive

Overall I love the app. It’s cool to learn new words and the games and such are a fun touch. The app is much more than just flash cards and rote memorization and I’ve noticed my vocabulary improving. My issue is that there is no way (at least that I can find) to change the frequency of notifications you get in a day. It’s excessive and I’m constantly getting notifications sometimes several times an hour. I don’t want to turn off notifications entirely, but maybe every couple of hours? I’m not sure what the solution is, but it’s a lot especially if you wear a smart watch and are getting the notifications on that too.

Great, except paid part

I love almost everything about the app, the daily world vocabulary and notifications really are great, and I have already felt improvement after a couple of days. However, I wish there was a free way to do the lessons bit, like similar to Duolingo where you can just watch ads and such but still be able to do them, instead of needing to pay for that part of the app. Otherwise, In my opinion this app is perfect. I would rate them a 4.5.
