★★★★★ Just got the mantis x-10 when the app works it's great but for some reason when you leave the app and try to open the app again it constantly crashes.
★★★★★ After the second step of 10 shots untimed accuracy, it makes the sound to let you know you are done and the app crashes/closed, losing the progress.
Bugs, things not working32%

8 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ I'll use it to analyze draw and a few other drills but for $250 for a company to leave a customer hanging with a product that doesn't work as advertised is not acceptable.
★★★★★ You guys need to get your tech guys to fix whatever bug is going on with the app.
★★★★★ The troubleshooter in the app just says algorithm has failed and asks me to submit a ticket.

Price and subscription20%

5 of the 1 and 2 star reviews.

★★★★★ Calibrating never actually works.
★★★★★ Worst of all, it doesn't communicate with Mantis Laser Academy at all (you have to have separate apps for the two teaching tools) which is a huge waste of time and money.
★★★★★ Looking into cancelling and exploring a chargeback.

  • Completed the Basic Marksmanship Training (earned a literal physical badge) and would love to see more challenges or drills like that to give me training objectives each day. 5★, May 1, 2018

★★★★★ I can't say enough about how helpful the feedback is for diagnosing grip and trigger issues
★★★★★ The Mantis app doesn't judge—it just reports data, which makes it a very helpful training partner.

★★★★★ It made me use a consistent, quality grip and trigger press.
★★★★★ For less than a case of ammo this tool can teach you to be super accurate and improve your speed.
★★★★★ Dude, I do not have words to describe how cool it is. I've been improved my shooting precision, only training on dry fire, I didn't tell anyone on my shooting range club about MantisX, you know, little secret by…
Fast8%

5 of the 4 and 5 star reviews.

★★★★★ I used that screen last night to move my dry practice into a consistent, smooth trigger press.
★★★★★ After a quick turnaround on an app repair the app is working phenomenally again.
★★★★★ The only disappointment is it drains the battery of my iPhone VERY fast.

It’s ok

I wanna give it a 5 star but I keep losing connection and some of the drills not listed

★★★★★Aug 27, 2026
You will improve

Excellent app and device. I have the Mantis x2. This product is fantastic. Follow the instructions. I mainly use open training, but there are several training modes and courses.

★★★★★Aug 12, 2026
Excellent

This with the titanX for home fry fire practice has been a big help for improving my shooting. It can definitely see a big improvement when I go to the range for live fire. I can’t say enough about how helpful the feedback is for diagnosing grip and trigger issues

★★★★★Jun 14, 2026
Good until recent update

Pretty good but took away trigger control. Seems like an odd training to remove. Also, I paid for for the hardware which makes the software possible and yet, you still need my contact info. Creepers.

Don’t waste your time or money

Calibrating never actually works.

★★★★★Jan 20, 2026
I love it

I do a lot of dry fire practice so this is actually really good for me. It’s surprising the amount of information I can get and even though use Bluetooth, you can still listen to music with it which I think is cool even through earbuds. My only complaint is that sometimes I cannot recognize the difference between a shot and racking a charger handle but other than that, I have absolutely zero compliance.

Store description

MantisX is a revolutionary training system that helps you improve your shooting precision. Use of the app requires a MantisX Sensor which can be bought here: http://www.mantisx.com. It attaches to any picatinny rail (or rail adapter if your firearm doesn't have a built-in rail). The internal electronics of the MantisX Sensor collect movement data before, during, and after your shot. The app analyzes the data and diagnoses your shooting mechanics, provides real-time coaching, and determines what you need to focus on to improve most quickly. MantisX is a powerful tool that will make your training more efficient and effective.
