I have this installed on a car android head unit. it doesn't let the radio play whilst I use it. Google maps and waze both allow me to listen to the radio and use the satnav but TomTom doesn't. shame as I like the interface but when driving I would like to hear my radio. Reply. It is a standalone android unit. I don't want to run android auto with my phone connected as what's the point when it's running android beautifully. The other satnav softwares from Google and Waze doesn't have this bug.

Good option to Google maps. A few points could be improved. The menu takes up a chunk of screen space and does not turn off until driving, then if you are stopped at a light the menu comes back up. Needs the ability to keep it closed while not using directions. the big issue is battery usage and running in the background. when the car is off and android auto closes the app should close, it doesn't, even when manually closing the app, I open my phone later and the app is running.
