love getting an extremely expensive gift for my birthday and then not being able to use half of the features because I need to pay a subscription. car dealerships don't make people subscribe to use the tires. it records videos but I can't access them and half of the UI is locked behind a paywall. if the locked features weren't in my face. I wouldn't feel like I was sold something that costs more than the effort of me just scooping the box myself.
