Garbage app. They deactivate your 'listing' after a period of time and then it is "Show me the money" or GTFO.
the app keeps freezing. won't let me access my messages. when it works properly it is ok, but when it's not, so annoying. Even worse since I paid for a subscription. if I check my messages I have to crash the app to go back to searching.
Very disappointing – Lack of protection for tenants My former landlord withheld my bond, and several of my former housemates have experienced similar issues. Despite reporting this situation to Flatmates, his listing remains active on the platform. It is extremely concerning that someone facing multiple complaints from former tenants can continue advertising accommodation and potentially putting other people in the same situation. I expected Flatmates to take these reports seriously.
easy to use
It works if you are *genuine* about needing a room, or offering one. I found nearly all my housemates from here over the last 12 months, while Facebook had more time wasting enquiries. My gripes are that it destroys my photos (it's hard enough to photograph a room without wide angle lens, but then the software kind of zooms in and crops it, so the photo is just the bed), and the messaging function keeps crashing the app for me.
App is useless unless you pay monthly fees
