⭐️ 1 STAR I’m genuinely disappointed with what Basketball Stars has become. I’ve played this game for 5 years, so I’m not your average Joe jumping on for a few games and complaining because I lost. I’ve completed Career Stage 200, reached the maximum 266 stars, earned around 605 BILLION in career winnings, completed 99/99 achievements, and have even ranked 5th globally. I’m saying this to give some context on how long I’ve played and how seriously I know this game. I genuinely do not mind losing. If someone beats me because they are more skilled, fair play to them. That is what competition is supposed to be about. What I cannot accept is cheating, exploits, ridiculous delays and matchmaking that makes the game feel unfair. I was literally in the Season Cup finals. I had won 28 games and needed just TWO MORE WINS to win the Gold Season Cup. Then I was matched with the same player I had already reported TWICE for what I believe was blatant and scandalous cheating. The worst part? The timer reached ZERO, I blocked their shot, and they STILL received the points. How is that acceptable? And how am I being matched with the exact same player again after reporting them twice? The matchmaking is genuinely terrible. If someone is repeatedly being reported for suspicious behaviour, there needs to be a proper system to investigate them instead of continuing to put them into matches with the same players. And before anyone blames my connection — it wasn’t my internet. I was literally next to my Wi-Fi router with a full connection and 1000 Mbps internet. The delays and game desync are also horrendous. There are moments where it feels like you’re playing against the game itself rather than the opponent. The cheating problem has been extreme for years, and that is one of the biggest reasons this game is so frustrating. I have been playing long enough to know the difference between someone being genuinely skilled and something clearly not being right. There is also a serious pay-to-win advantage. I’m not saying players shouldn’t be able to spend money or that upgrades shouldn’t exist, but competitive matches should not feel like spending money gives you an advantage over someone who has put years of skill and time into the game. The economy also needs serious attention. I currently have around 400 BILLION in-game cash and literally cannot spend it all. It just sits there and feels useless. Why can’t long-term players convert excess cash into gold, exchange it for something useful, or have some meaningful endgame use for it? After five years of playing, I’ve essentially completed everything there is to complete. I still want this game to succeed, but there is a lot that needs to be sorted out. I don’t expect every match to go my way. I don’t mind losing to someone who is genuinely better than me. That’s competition. But cheating should NOT be tolerated. In short: I’ve played Basketball Stars for 5 years, completed Career Stage 200, maxed out at 266 stars, earned 605 BILLION career winnings, completed 99/99 achievements, and reached 5th globally. I’m not complaining because I lost — I respect genuine skill. I’m complaining because I was in the Season Cup finals after 28 wins, needed two more wins for the Gold Cup, and was matched AGAIN with a player I had already reported twice. The timer reached zero, I blocked the shot, and they still received the points. On top of that, the extreme cheating, terrible matchmaking, horrendous delays and pay-to-win advantages have been problems for years. I don’t want an easy game. I want a FAIR game. The game has the potential to be great, but these issues are seriously damaging the experience for long-term players. Please take cheating seriously, improve matchmaking and game stability, reduce the pay-to-win advantage, and give experienced players something meaningful to do with their huge amounts of in-game cash. Make Basketball Stars about skill again.

This game could be great but it favours players who pay rather than being skill based. For example the back board bonus will light up when the paying player has an advantage to shoot first. If you score from the back board after them you don’t get the bonus but if they score it after you they still get it. The special ball bonus will also light up more for them and always when the ball is “on fire”. I’ve lost over 2 million coins because the game kept saying “connecting” during games despite my internet connection being fine. Again it was quite obvious I was playing players who had spent money on the game on when this happened just to give them the advantage. Don’t get me started on the +3 points randomly popping up for the other player after the game has finished and I was in the lead when it finished.
