I just downloaded this game and I can't even play it. When I try to start it, the launch screen pops up for less than a second, then disappears. If it gets fixed, I'll try to update this review, but I don't know how long I'll keep it on my device if I can't actually play. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.
I downloaded after a playable ad. Had no mention of AI in the ad. Deleted immediately upon realizing this is an AI game. AI is dangerous and is being pushed by dangerous people. Until there are limits placed on the use of AI I will not support or willing interact with anything AI.
I was hoping this app would be different. It uses glitchy AI to design, so maybe the cost savings of not hiring as many programmers or people might give that benefit to consumers. But no, it uses false scarcity to make you do in app purchases. Not only that, their pricing is INSANE ($5 a WEEK for VIP). I would pay $5 a month for a fun design app that lets me do challenges but doesn’t try to nickel and dime me. Don’t give these companies your money! The only reason I gave it two stars was that enjoyed AI messing up and creating different things in the scene that were obviously a mistake. Laughed a lot playing this… not in a good way lol.
I don’t know where to begin… This app is everything I love! Most importantly, Aesthetic is the best app out there that satisfies my need for artistic expression and quells my sometimes crippling anxiety. There are so many talented creators here that create an in-game atmosphere that is cheerful, magical, whimsical and classy! My favorite aspect to this app is that AI generates a home tailored specifically to your prompt that you type in, then you have your choice of several starter home options; each with a general base aesthetic to work with and many rooms to style as you please. The style cards you collect and assign to the room elements seem limitless, as I still haven’t even discovered them all! They vary anywhere from art deco to maximalist to mid century modern to cyberpunk! It’s so fun! I highly recommend this app to anyone that loves interior design, has an artistic flare or loves a little healthy competition, as there are several ways to shine individually. I don’t normally write reviews but felt I needed to for this game. I love this type of game and the concept is great, but there are a few issues. When you choose an option it will affect how other choices you’ve made look. Also the image that is shown in the thumbnail for your choice option is not what will show up in your design. Once these issues are fixed it could be a five star game, but right now they are very annoying.
