Would be a reasonable time killer if it weren’t for 80% empty servers, and matchmaking which is only designed to pit big spenders against FTP players to keep the whales happy. Won’t last another 6 months with the decline in players, leaving only the big spenders left to wonder why they wasted so much money in this.

Metal Slug Awakening is a predatory cash grab that butchers the franchise. Its gacha system is one of the worst—low SSR rates, an absurd duplicate system, and artificial grind mechanics designed to frustrate players into spending. But even if you pay, there’s barely any advantage since progression is time-gated and meaningless. The gameplay? A shallow, auto-fire mess that lacks the satisfying skill-based combat of the originals. It fails both as a Metal Slug game and a gacha game. Save your time, money, and nostalgia—this one isn’t worth it.

Im stuck on the multiplayer game mode and i cant join, so there is no progress on my gameplay because of it can you fix it thanks

After buying multiple monthly cards I didn’t receive my ruby rebates that were stated, and after submitting 3 requests to have this sorted I still haven’t even received a response about the issue. As always with these companies they love to take your money but when it’s time to give it back they are slow or as in my case they don’t even bother respond.

I was enjoying playing this game but.. upgrading takes time if you don’t spend money… then when you keeping playing to get cores to much your meet with a message saying rewards have been exhausted this week please go buy REWARDS at the store… so there is no way possible to play for free!!! It was a 5* but getting that message on every mission u do is pointless playing because u can’t upgrade nothing…

Avoid this game like the plague! If you want to get the best weapons, upgrades (awakening), and other items, you’ll have to pay and pay, as they cannot be obtained in any other way without spending money. No matter how much effort you put in or how much time you spend playing, if you don’t pay (hundreds/thousands of £€$), you simply won’t be able to get better weapons and upgrades for them.
