Enjoy - AI Town

Being an aspiring actor, writer, text based roleplayer, and a longtime player of many online social/virtual worlds, I think this is SUCH an epic and awesome idea and I really can’t stress it enough how cool it is! As a text based roleplayer, sometimes I don’t want the hassle of human interaction when setting up a story and world building, so this is a great way to get me creatively engaged while my introverted self remains at peace lol! It’s also so cool to see your characters brought to life! Some storylines have given me ideas in my own writing, and helps me develop characters in a brand new and fun way! My only major gripe, is that the AI seems to sometimes get stuck on a certain topic (one character became painfully obsessed with flat-white coffee and brought it up all the time for no reason lol - they also kept asking me the same question over and over, even though I’d answered, and they kept getting angry about me ‘not answering’ them lol), it may also make characters accuse you of saying things you didn’t, which can make sustaining a storyline difficult at times - it’s not so bad if it’s a minor/random interaction as you can reset the character’s memory, but if the character you’re talking to has become a regular occurrence in your town and it happens, it’s a little frustrating. I’ve tried playing it out in app as another character trying to manipulate mine (which I am so here for), but as it happens after writing with a character for a while, it’s a bit too frequent to write like that lol. Also (maybe it’s just me being me) but the UI for searching for places to add to your town, isn’t the most intuitive to find or even get to work - not that it’s not functional, it just seems to require more work to find than necessary for such a cool feature to adding locations. I really think having a clearer, cleaner UI for searching places, characters, items to buy etc would be really, really helpful for users. Only stating my gripes as I thoroughly love the app, and have given it 5 stars for how it’s been executed so far, and for what a cool idea and utilisation of AI it is. I never ever write reviews, so am really excited to see how it evolves over time! Another big positive, is the fact there are no ads popping up all the time! It has made me play far more and far longer, and prompted me to purchase coins, which I rarely do in apps - especially AI apps! Seriously, I think it’s a great app, with so so much potential! Keep on delivering awesomeness! 🔥

Well that was a surprise

So very early days, we will see if this remains true after a while longer, but really impressed with the AI reactions so far and the settings. Great interactive fun!
