LINE

I have lots of issues with Line. Like they don't offer a stand alone DMG file. They don't offer older versions for your old mac (Back up Mac, that is basically one to run mails, some browsing/Citrix and messaging). They have ZERO versions you can back up. The Support site ist terrible. You want to have some human interaction, someone helping you? Good luck. Those are small things bascially. I just hate how it overrides rightclick options Menu. How it barely accepts picture pasting. GIFs are hit&miss. Now I am getting constantly logged out. Just closing my laptops lid and opening it, I am logged out. I wake up in the morming logged out. It get's beyond annoying, borderline frustrating. I dread the modern times. I wish it still was the early 2000s where you had light weight messaging that only used one handle and MULTIPLE Networks could interact if forced to. I don't want to use Line, but I have some people who are stuck with this piece of service. If you can avoid it, don't use it. Nobody will help you anyways.

When successfully logged-in, I'm logged-off minimum once a day by network error. I always need to to enter my credentials again.

The "Send file" filter differs from other platform implementations. You can only select images and media files on mac. It is not possible to send documents or .zip files.

The App constantly logs me out on every system startup or restart and claims “Unable to log in due to network issues. Please check your connection and try again.” which is pure nonsense! My internet connection is fine. As result one must log in again on every system startup, over and over again. That's a problem that persists for at least 2 years but the developers apparently don't care. The chat synchronization between iPhone and MacBook doesn’t work either. Existing chats on the iPhone are not displayed on the MacBook. Messages which are already read on the Mac are on the iPhone still displayed as unread. And not to forget the AutoStart problems. Firstly, as the App sadly doesn’t launch automatically on every system startup (something that every Messenger normally does), Mac-Users must manually add LINE to the Login Items under System Preferences > Users & Groups. LINE strangely lacks a corresponding option in the LINE preferences. Why this? Has this been forgotten by the developers? Secondly, and even worse, the App also doesn’t have an option “Launch in the background”. Furthermore, LINE doesn’t even respect the “Hide” setting under System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login Items. The result is that LINE displays its application window on every system startup although it should be hidden. LINE simply ignores the “Hide” setting under System Preferences > Users & Groups. Therefore, one must hide the LINE window manually by closing it manually on every system startup. This is a very annoying bug. To make myself clear: 1. I want LINE to open on every Mac startup. 2. I want the LINE window “hidden” when it starts up. Conclusion: LINE for Mac needs to either respect the “Hide” setting in the macOS System Preferences or better have the options in LINE preferences for launching and(!) hiding the LINE window on startup. This urgently needs to be fixed and/or implemented. With all these bugs, why isn’t there any support? Why can't users report bugs? The programmers should be ashamed to release such amateurish unfinished Beta-Software.
