Coupang - Mobile Shopping

Coupang has gotten much better and more foreigner-friendly compared to before. Earlier, it was quite difficult for foreigners to use the app because of the language barriers and especially the payment system. The overall experience has improved significantly, and I appreciate the effort being made to make Coupang more accessible. There are still a couple of features that would make a huge difference for foreigners. 1. Support international phone numbers - It would be very helpful if Coupang allowed users to register and use US or other international phone numbers, similar to GMarket. Especially, useful for shopping items for older age family members in Korea. 2. Make WOW membership accessible to foreigners - Currently, purchasing WOW membership is impossible for foreigners without a Korean resident registration number because the identity verification process requires a Korean phone number. It would be great to allow WOW membership payments using an overseas / international credit card. Alternatively, Coupang could offer an option to purchase WOW-related coupons instantly or benefits on demand instead of requiring a membership. Coupang is definitely moving in the right direction, and making these few changes would make the app significantly more convenient and accessible for foreigners living in or visiting Korea. Hopefully, these options can be considered in future updates!
