Have used the service recently, turned out to be much expensive then competition. Some issue with the booking took forever to resolve as they service out of Philippines or Malaysia, with total disregard to customer or there issues…not to be ever used again.

I had a very bad experience with Agoda and would strongly advise families to be careful before booking hotels through this platform. Do not get carried away by the lower prices advertised on Agoda. The amount you see while booking may not be the final amount you end up paying. If you are travelling with your family, especially with children, please double-check the hotel’s child policy and confirm all additional charges directly with the hotel before making a reservation. In my case, I ended up having to pay extra charges for my child at the hotel, which was extremely frustrating and disappointing. What made the experience even worse was Agoda’s customer service. There was no proper support, and I felt that the representatives were not willing to listen to or understand my concern. Instead of helping resolve the issue, I was left to deal with the situation myself and pay the additional charges. A booking platform should provide transparent pricing, clear information about children’s accommodation policies, and reliable customer support when problems arise. Unfortunately, my experience with Agoda fell far short of these expectations. My advice to fellow travellers, especially families: Don’t choose Agoda based on price alone. Read every condition carefully and verify any extra charges for children directly with the hotel before booking to avoid unpleasant surprises.
