jubeat（ユビート）

I really like how this game plays. Runs well, a perfect fit for the iPad. There are no arcades around here with any revision of jubeat, so I’d love to have an alternative to buying a jubeat beyond the ave cab myself! … but all the songs are locked behind gacha, you need stamina to play songs in standard mode (you need to grind out to level 40 just to have the opportunity to play a whole three songs in one sitting!). You can grind out 10 jblocks a day to buy a song pack for 500 in “plus” mode which has no stamina, but playing in plus can’t complete missions to earn more jblocks so it almost feels like a waste to do so. Completing a song doesn’t seem to show you your stats about how many perfects/greats/goods/etc you got, seemingly because it’s not “relevant” to the process of rolling a gacha for new songs. The core of this game is *really* good - it’s just that everything around it is borderline unplayable.
