HOW SURE ARE WE
Not in any grossing chart, so this comes from ratings growth (93 new ratings a month on average since launch): about $100 a month per new rating a month. Tested on 418 apps with verified revenue: typically off by about 2 times, and big earners tend to come out low. Countries we don't track (and Google Play in China, which doesn't exist) aren't included, and neither are ads or web payments. Gross revenue before store fees.

The go to for timers

For all things timers, this has been my go to for years. Excellent app.

Brilliant timer for Coaching !

I use this timer to coach circuit training / tabata / Pilates and also for my own personal training .. it’s super easy to use - you can use voice or beeps and even gongs for more gentle transitional timers .. I’ve been using this for two years and it’s been a god send for easy class design to suit what I’m teaching. The added bonus is being able to link it to playlists I have in my iTunes library so set the tone for the workout !! Highly recommended app !!

Simple and works

This is very simple to use.

Brilliant

Just what I was looking for... Some pre-programmed timers with the facility to make your own. I teach circuit training and being able to arrange different music and timings to suit is perfect. Well worth the money.

Upgrade

Sorry I have never liked the upgrade much preferred the old format. Still having said that it is a fantastic training aide. The original let me use different music for work periods and rest periods. I train a lot of my cardio like boxing rounds eg 3on 1off now have to use the same album for both, not as good as before when I could use fast pace music for work and slower for rest. Really miss that. Also don’t like the new graphics old ones stood out better. Regards Jim Hill

Indispensable.

This app is absolutely fantastic. I have a high intensity interval trainer. Stretch timer. So that you can time your stretches. I have a timer for planks with rest. A sprint timer. The option to update your own timers as you become more proficient in a given thing is fantastic. Honestly, this is about the only sports app that I use. I can’t recommend it enough.

What's new in 25.4

25.0 No new features this time. This release is maintenance work behind the scenes, and everything works exactly as it did before. 25.1 Creating an account with Google, and signing in with one, work again in the free app. 25.2 The tabs at the bottom of the screen no longer disappear after you edit a timer. 25.3 Apple Watch now fetches your timers and settings from iPhone. Request Sync is at the top of the watch's Settings, and My Timers fetches them the first time you open it. Sync Timers Now has gone from the Apple Watch settings on iPhone. 25.4 Apple Watch now keeps time more precisely than ever, so every interval lands right on the second however long the timer runs.

Released Jul 13, 2010. Current version shipped Oct 8, 2026.

Store description

Seconds Pro is an interval timer for HIIT, Tabata, EMOM, circuits and any workout built from timed intervals. It calls each interval out loud, keeps running with the screen off, and runs on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. Apple has featured it, and Joe Wicks, The Body Coach, has said it is the fitness app he uses more than any other. BUILD ANY WORKOUT - Start from a HIIT, Tabata or circuit template, or build a timer from scratch with sets, rounds and intervals of different lengths. - Chain timers into one compound timer, so a warm-up flows into the main set and then a cool-down. - Color-code every interval so you know what is coming before the beep. - Share a timer with a friend in one tap. HEAR IT, DON'T WATCH IT - Voice cues call out each interval by name and warn you before the next one starts. - Beeps and bells are there too if you would rather not be talked at. - Play your own music, per timer or per interval. Cues duck the music and it comes back up when they are done. - The timer keeps going in the background while you use other apps or the screen sleeps. ON THE GYM FLOOR - A full-screen, color-coded display you can read from across the room, in portrait or landscape. On iPad it uses the whole screen. - A lock button stops a stray tap from pausing your set. APPLE WATCH - Seconds Pro runs on the watch by itself, so the phone can stay in the locker. Timers you build on the phone sync to the wrist, and Quick Intervals builds a basic circuit on the watch itself. MORE TIMERS - A stopwatch that marks your best and worst laps. - A countdown timer with five preset durations (three on Apple Watch). APPLE HEALTH - Save workouts and mindful sessions to Health. With a heart rate monitor connected, Seconds Pro reads your body measurements and year of birth from Health to estimate calories burned. PAID ONCE, NOTHING TO UNLOCK - Seconds Pro is paid for up front. Every feature is included and every timer you make can be run as many times as you like. SECONDS AND SECONDS PRO - Seconds is the free version of this app. It has the same features, but each timer locks after one run until a single in-app purchase unlocks it. The two are separate products and a purchase in one does not carry over to the other. If you bought Seconds Pro, download Seconds Pro. If you bought the unlock in Seconds, download Seconds and use Restore Purchases.
