Never works, always sends notifications which pauses it through the night so I miss my baby’s wakes and disconnects all the time even though no issue with my internet. Currently not working again. Just get an old fashioned screen/cam combo.
I’ve never left a review on any app before. Customer service is utterly callous. Shocking beyond belief. Avoid.
I have so many issues with this app. The latest update is terrible, constantly stuck on the ‘almost ready’ wheel. We don’t use the sock anymore as it broke (for a third time), but now this awful app renders the camera useless as it never loads. Would not recommend the sock or camera, plenty of other cheaper options
The recent update has rendered the camera absolutely useless again. How this app is rated so highly on the App Store I’ll never know (fake reviews?). In the year we have had this absurdly expensive regret-purchase, it’s probably worked less than 30% of the time. The £30 Amazon version has worked 100% of the time. We tried to persevere because we had spent so much but that just meant we went past the point where we could get a refund for it. They will never invest what they need to to get the app to work because suckers like me keep buying it because we thought high price meant quality. This product is broken by design. I give up and am switching to our cheap back up permanently. Don’t waste your money.
Half the time it doesn’t connect, doesn’t show you room temp or humidity, doesn’t record when it should and now the night feed has gone a weird purple which seems to be some fault. Regret purchasing and would not recommend.
I love the idea of the Owlet Sock and it definitely gives some peace of mind, but unfortunately I take a lot of the app’s data with a pinch of salt. For starters, it simply won’t let me change the bedtime onset. It constantly reverts back to 7pm. I don’t know many newborns, let alone babies under 6 months, who reliably go down for the evening at 7pm — let’s be realistic! The app also constantly disconnects from my Wi-Fi at random and then struggles to reconnect. I have high-speed fibre and no issues with any other devices, so this really does seem to be an app issue rather than anything to do with my home network. On top of that, it randomly seems to store the wrong data against the wrong evening. It feels like there’s sometimes a 24-hour delay with my morning report, which makes the information really confusing and frustrating to follow. The concept is brilliant and the sock itself is reassuring, but when you’re paying for a subscription, you expect the app and the data to be reliable. At the moment, there are just too many glitches for me to feel confident in the sleep data.
