Best scanner for me

I nearly didn’t go for this scanner because it wasn’t obvious how to collate pages together. Once I worked that out I knew this was the scanner for me. I needed one that could scan books and magazines with accurate charts to get patterns into knitCompanion. It’s missing one star because I’d like to sometimes reorganise pages before sharing. At the minute if I miss a page I’m having to delete the pages after it and then rescan to get them in the right order. I’ve tried selecting them in the right order but they just revert back to the order they were scanned in. If this is a feature I’ve yet to discover it.

Great little app!

I used to use FineReader but since they no longer offered good PDF scanning of books, found this one. And it really is the best out there for scanning books — fast, reliable!

Lots of potential

I don’t know how, but this app is out-performing ReadIris Pro and other Mac-based OCR software! Page edge detection is really good, the page flattening is impressive. I don’t like the subscription model and I don’t like doing work like this on a phone. MAC VERSION - PLEASE!!

Useless since subscription mode

Considering this app mostly works with open source code they didn’t developed, it’s kinda ironic the way they decided to capitalise with a very greedy subscription mode. The app is good but the fact that only allow to turn 10 images (per month) into a pdf is just ridiculous. Used to be great while free, but £30/year to make a pdf? Good luck.

Subscription model is terrible

No, I’m not complaining about the pricing. I don’t have any issue with that. What comes with the model is what I don’t like. The AI enhancer is a trap. Both features have potential to ruin the original file and I highly recommend not using them for a big file. All the other features are not really features and they could easily be ‘free’ features just like other apps.
