Much Better Than Patreon But CostlyI tried Patreon as a way of viewing art tutorials but I find its interface to be clunky - and that’s being generous.
I can understand why MJS has had his own app created. Searching is much easier and picking up content left earlier is usually easy. It can be useful if you remember to add whatever you’re watching to your library, just in case the app gets confused, but usually things work smoothly.
My only gripe is the cost. £25GBP per month (as of time of writing) is one hell of a chunk of cash. My Sky bill is roughly the same! This feels even worse because I recently saw a 20% off offer - but only for new subscribers. No loyalty reward then?
So I would have to say it is worth the money - just - because Michael is an excellent teacher but mainly because of the absence of decent competition in the marketplace, which is not the best reason to be recommending something.

RewardingSo happy I signed on for the second year with MJSTV. Such a rewarding course where using the techniques I have learned, I am able to surprise myself. Other on-line courses bombard students with spam and hard sell. Very happy to be here.

Michael James Smith TVMichael provides the best online tutorials on oil painting that I have been able to find. His tutorials are clear and detailed. He understands the perspective of his students and this is reflected in his tutorials. I also like his choice of subject and he is very personable. I feel I have a friend talking to me and guiding me in my artwork. Thanks Michael.
