I have tried many other reader apps and I get so frustrated with their seemingly arbitrary limitations. This is THE BEST reader. I have never found anything negative. This works in multiple speeds, screen sizes, split screen, file types, highlighting, captioning. The captions are my absolute favorite. I must have I didn’t know I needed and now I can’t live without. This is the best. Essential for college and ADHD.

I’m not satisfied. When I play the voice to read along it skips over few words or doesn’t read the complete text. I noticed because I scan my text book for it to read, it doesn’t read it completely since the page curves while the book is open due to the book being kinda big. Overall it sucks because I need it to process all the words correctly for me to be able to read along. Also there is wayyy too many mispronunciations.
Very disappointed with this purchase. I have to reboot the app multiple times for every listening session. The AI mispronounces words and sometimes adds a random accent. I genuinely feel like a better app could be vibe coded in 3 days.
I would give this 0 stars if I could. They bait you with a “natural voice” that you choose at the start, give you 5 minutes (if that) of listening time with the natural voice, then force you to either pay ($20 a month!!!) to continue with the “premium” voices OR go with the free voice. I thought “huh, surely the free voice can’t be that bad?” It is that bad. It is so comically bad that I could have Siri read me something and it would sound (1) less robotic and (2) more natural. It is intentionally bad to get you to subscribe. Not only is it robotic, they have to give him an indecipherable accent - at first I thought it was maybe Irish? It was like listening to a robot with a language barrier try to recite Shakespeare. Don’t waste your time unless you want to drop $120+ a year.
