Castlevania: SotN

I'm 37 years old, and I have loved this game since the first time I played on a PSX in 2003. Love playing on my phone now.

The game has a 100% nostalgia factor for sure. It’s extremely fun to play even in 2025/2026! They’ve patched the sword brothers/librarian trick so to grind for duplicator, you’ll have to farm the $2000 bag in inverted castle near trolls in caverns. Aside from that, super enjoyable. Only downside is I’ve been trying to farm to level 99, and doing it on the spectral sword in the inverted chapel using power of sire x2 and duplicator, however, to my surprise - the save file glitched. I grinded for 40 minutes, headed to the save point in the coliseum, minimised the game, came back and it refreshed. Opened and hit continue, and it showed accurate play time. Checked the saved file and it had lost 40 minutes. So I resaved, closed the app, and reopened it, and the progress had been lost. What a waste of time mind numbing spamming the spectral sword. Needless to say, I won’t be doing this anymore, I’ll just grind my familiars all to 99 then finish the game. Aside from this, loads of fun.

Everything is great! Had a good time playing this but the only issue is that the items sometimes drop outside the map but overall very good

I recently played and completed this game and thoroughly enjoyed it on my iPad. As most gamers know, SOTN is a stone cold classic. I’ve replayed it many times on various formats over the years. As would be expected with this version, the touch screen controls are predictably fiddly. It can only really be truly enjoyed with a Bluetooth controller. Also, there are a couple of bugs. One is that sometimes when you open the game, there’s no sound. The other is when activating the mist form with a PS4 controller. Unless you hold both bumper buttons down, the mist form only lasts a second before you revert back to Alucard. Annoying.
