They had a great thing going for the readers.

For about 2-3 months they had a subscription service that I used. I read stories from multiple websites and this one used to be a lesser used one. Then they had the subscription service that I used and I would read almost completely one this app because I no longer had to deal with those spirit stones. Instead I used them to give gifts to the stories. Now that the subscription is gone I can only get about 20 spirit stones a day witch could be at most 4 short chapters. So either I wait for more stones or I could start a new book only to end up at a pay wall again. They said it was for the writers and translators to get paid more but who really knows. I doubt they were making more than extra spending money. Edit: they don’t stop there money grubbing ways. Now they are making you pay like $40 to read a extra 50 chapters ahead and who knows what’s next. For now on I’m just going to look for these books for free. I don’t care if they’re stolen from here. I have always been one to support authors and translators but not those from Webnovel. Edit 2:(10/2026): the app still has lots of pop ups just to open it but now there’s constant add at the bottom of the page so just to slide the app up to close it it clicks the add and opens spam in my browser! That’s just messed up. Can’t lower score more than it already is.

New to the app. Love it despite 3 problems.

I would give it 5 but when I try to unlock rewards via ads or articles, it isn’t clear how to navigate the site that has the article. 1)CLARITY: Completing the article for the 1st site that opens up wasn’t clear, but after scrolling a bit and returning to the app it acknowledged the 1 of 3 articles progress. This is minor but clarity is always needed when there’s no instruction. 2)Unsafe Site: The major problem was after the 2nd site opened up, my browser immediately warned that it wasn’t a safe site, according to the Safari browser. 3)Design Flaw: Right after that I realized the site wasn’t safe, I returned to the app it and didn’t acknowledge any progresss unless I went back and tapped something so that was annoying as well. It took me far longer to complete the article reads than it should have and that was only after I stayed on the website and tried scrolling and tapping multiple times while returning to the app to acknowledge the last 2 article completion on the site. The 3rd completion acknowledgment took about twice as long as the 2nd. Other than the flawed article aspect of the reward system I’d recommend the app to everyone. There are great stories, fun and informative comments you can tap in the novel, membership rewards, and you can up-vote your favorite novel’s ranking with items you earn.

Forced Orientation

I would read in this app if it didn’t force landscape orientation. Until then using web version. Plus changing font and size is obnoxious in app, easy in web version.
